i see alot of girls at my school who put on kinda alot of eyeliner and mascara and it looks like gorgeous but when i try, i look goth....

Wear a thin line of deep black pencil eyeliner on your bottom lashes or waterline (Sephora flashy liner, black works amazingly. It's really smooth and easy to put on) and liquid on top (L'oreal Liquid in marker form, works great and is also easy to use) in a thicker line. Then use tons of mascara on your top lashes (Covergirl Professional in Very Black, Waterproof). Set your eyeliner with black eyeshadow using an eyeliner brush (ELF, $1 at target or the dollar store). Then coat your bottom lashes once. And ta-da! Dramatic eye makeup without the goth look. :)
that's a big mistake a lot of people are wearing. some people can pull off the way too much eyeliner look, but others can't. the way to get that same effect without looking goth is putting liner on the bottom lid, and the outside corner of the top lid. COAT AND COAT AND COAT very black mascara on top and bottom lashes. wear shadow (but don't go past the crease) actually i suggest searching for the kim kardashian smokey eye effect makeup tutorial on youtube and watch how she wears the shadows and eyeliner. this tutorial's third and part of the fourth videos are G R E A T!!!!!!!!

not only that...';those girls'; who put on or shall i say cake on a lot of makeup are going to have skin problems sooner or later..if they don't already have. it's best to be natural..but if you wear any makeup at all..


it looks better when you enhance your features by putting just a tad bit on. it makes a huger difference.
play with it. put aside an hour one day and play with some eyeliner to see what looks good. I used to think i just couldn't pull off eyeliner but then i started playing with it some and it looks a whole lot better.
Start by practicing with a fine thin line if that does not work continue adding to the previous line and hopefully you get a look that you can live with.
