Why does makeup show up bad in pictures?

whenever i see pictures of me at parties or indoors they look horribly white and horrible makeup even though i dont really wear THAAT much makeup, just eyeliner mascara, foundation and some lipstick, sometimes i look like a ghost and scare myself when i look at my pictures im serious :S i do put on a lot of light foundation but in real it looks fine and in pics, horrible!!Why does makeup show up bad in pictures?
Is your foundation the right color for you? If it's too light, then that might be the problem.





Camera flashes tend to make you look washed out, so try using a matte bronzer - to add back some color that the foundation may have taken away - blush, and an contouring shade.





Note: concealers and powders that say ';illuminating'; tend to have particles that reflect light. So it may look fine in normal, everyday lighting, but once the camera flashes it makes you look even more light.Why does makeup show up bad in pictures?
No worries, its probably just the flash of the camera washing you out.





Bright flashes on digital cameras wash EVERYBODY out.


Theres not much you can do about it.
go a shade darker.
