How long does it take for makeup to go bad?

masks, cleansers, foundations, moisturizers, etc. thanks! How long does it take for makeup to go bad?
You wudnt think that makeup has an expiring date!

Your mascara has to been chaged every three mnths- like a toothbrush, so when ur shopping grab a mascara %26amp; toothbrush %26amp; urll never forget! Cleansers %26amp; moisturizers will have it written on the bottle. Maskes %26amp; foundations can be kept for a year (but u mite have used it by then) But i think its best to change them every 6mnths if not all gone. Eyeliners- pencil/liquid- is just like ur mascara, they shud be changed every 3-4mnths. Everything else just needs to b changed reguarly- i think about every 6mnths if u use them same colour, like eyeshadow or blushHow long does it take for makeup to go bad?
It really depends on the product and the ingredients. But a general rule of thumb for the products you're asking about is about a year. Especially for things like cleansers, masks and moisturizer. All that stuff breaks down and is less effective after a year.

People say you should toss foundation in about that time as well, but I have used some longer than that. If it smells fine and it is not breaking you out and giving you the coverage you need, keep using it.

Mascara is the only thing I'm really firm about: toss it within three months.
I keep liquids (liners, foundation, creams, mascara) for six months. The powders I keep for one year. I have MS related cognitive problems, so certain short term things and numbers do not stick with me. I just buy little labels and mark the month and year that it was purchased and stick it on everything.
most people don't know but make-up has an expiration date

loose all eye mascara after a year the latest (it can grow bacteria and damage your eyes)

usually the powder stuff will hold longer but as long as you keep your make up brushes clean (they sell a special cleaner that you dab on the brush and will dry)

creams and liquid products will ';tell'; you by either drying up or watering down..when they loose their consistency they got to go...;)
