Is sharing makeup with alot of other people bad for you?

i'm in a musical, and we just have tons of makeup that we all share. like eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, foundation, etc.

is this a bad thing? is it dangerous? Is sharing makeup with alot of other people bad for you?
Yes its bad. Your putting others peoples bacteria and anything else they might have on their skin, on your skin. If someone gets pink eye and doesn't show it for a couple days, well, you will all have it. YOu never know what someone has, so you should never take that risk!Is sharing makeup with alot of other people bad for you?
aly , we all knew it was bad .

we did it anyways though, cause we needed to .

duuuuur . ! Report Abuse

no it isn't 'dangerous' unless someone has a skin disease.. lol. but I don't share my makeup and brushes myself because if someone has bad/oily skin the brushes will pick up the oil and because you are applying that to your face it can give you bad skin yourself.

Also, my mum has an eye disease which causes her eyes to dry out. I don't share eye makeup such as mascara and eyeliner with her because you can catch it that way. There are a lot of eye issues and diseases you can catch that's why a lot of places don't have eye makeup testers.
Sharing make up can be bad for you, yes. This is because it spreads bacteria from one person to the next. Sharing eye products can cause styes or pink eye. Sharing facial products can also cause bacteria to clog your pores more than usual, giving you small bumps or pimples and possibly infections that look like a rash on your face. Sharing lip products can pass cold sores which as a form of herpes from one person to the next. Keep makeup closed for best results. Use your own makeup and if you HAVE to share products, at least do not share applicators! This means using fresh cotton balls or brushes. Good luck!
Never, ever share makeup. Especially lipsticks and glosses, eyeliners and mascaras. They allow bacteria to be transferred from user to user.

Sharing foundations and powders are okay, as there is less chance of spreading bacteria that way. But for everything else, it's okay to be selfish. :)
sharing make up isnt going to kill you but it definitely isnt healthy. eyeliners and mascaras are the worst and foundation isnt as bad but your getting other peoples bacteria on your skin, how do you know that person washed their face? you dont, its kind of gross if you think about it
yes, it is very harmful b/c bacteria from everyones eyes, face, and lips are being built up on the products which could cause pink eye or even worse mono

**i would just reccommend buying your own supply of makeup, then u don't have to worry about getting anything and u can start your own supply so u can use it whenever something comes up
yeah it is. bring your own makeup in a bag. especially lip and eye makeup. you are spreading bacteria around. however it is better if they at least use different applicators for each person (like the ones you get in stores) but overall you should avoid sharing makeup

xxx
Yeah it is bad to share makeup..

When you share eyeliner and other thing that go close to your eye, you can deff. get an eye infection.

Also if you share lipgloss and stuff who knows what you'll catch, there are so many things you can catch from sharing makeup!
Do not share makeup. The bacteria that lives in shared makeup is disgusting. Seriously! Get your own.

NEVER share anything that you put on your lips or around your eyes, especially. Very bad!
You should never share makeup.

Especially eyeliner and mascara.

Foundation is okay

but the rest are big no no's unless you want to catch an eye infection.

Bring your own from now on.
You should not share with anyone. Bacteria is transferred from one person to another. You shouold not keep creams over 60 days
I think that you shouldnt share lip stuff and stuff like eyeliner and mascara
yes its better if you all buy your own makeup.. you ladies can get a variety of eye infections.
