Is applying makeup when you have a break out bad?

Every time I play tennis in the hot Florida sun, my skin goes crazy. I put like half a bottle of sunscreen on my face everytime, and I wear a long cap, but it doesn't seem to help my face!! It becomes blotchy and red at some places, like in the middle of my cheeks. I am thinking about covering it up with make-up. Is that wise? Will it cause the redness to become worse? I have to go to school tomorrow, and I don't want to look all blotchy and red.Is applying makeup when you have a break out bad?
Makeup isn't going to help your problem. Use a sunscreen meant for the face and cleanse well and use an astringent before applying the facial sunscreen. All makeup does is clog pores, and once you start sweating you're really going to have a mess. Good luck!Is applying makeup when you have a break out bad?
make up doesn't cause breakouts..just wash it off your face when u get home

the sunscreen is whats causing the redness. use oil-free sunscreen or apply a face wash every morning then apply sunscreen. this happened to my face last summer but since i've been washing and using oil-free sunscreen and moisturizer my face is fine
As long as you use a makeup that is oil free and stuff it wont harm your skin or make it worse in any way - its better than going out looking bad.
Skin needs to breathe too, covering it with make it causes it to be worse. In the case of infection, keep the face clean, wash it often.

Don't touch with ur hands.
If you use a good brand of foundation, it will actually help protect your skin from the environment (not the sun). Foundation is actually part of your skin care.

Are you using sunscreen that's designed for your face? That may be causing the irritation. The sunscreen designed for your body will clog the pores on your face.
Yes,putting anything like makeup or coverup(pretty much same thing)is bad cuz your just putting more gunk in your pours which will make you brake out more.
Not if you use Netrugena oil-free makeup, it clears your skin while covering it up, its about $10.00 at Wal-mart but it sure works. If u want to get rid of breakouts, use Clearsil Acne spot treatment, it works to clear ur entire skin in just three days or ur money back! I use it and my skin is clear and fresh looking :)

Make sure u use oil-free makeup tho otherwise it could clog ur pores and cause major breakouts which could cause scars which are perment unless u go to a dermatgolist and get laser-remover. Also, dont touch ur skin during day, its really bad for you and if u do touch ur face, make sure ur hands and fingers are clean with soap because it causes pimples. Avoid it!
For school, definitely.
you can use foundation that has SPF50 or just not wear some at. foundation can clog your pores and cause acne.

if your face is red, put aelo vera on it! it helps replenish your skin
try not to use ANY makeup it will clog your poors and the break out will become worst. If you need to wear makeup (i know us girls need to especially when breakouts happen) try using covergirl, its called the ';clean'; makeup, it is mixed with noxema so your face shouldnt get as irritated.

good luck
Yes, one reason why you may be getting this is because of sweating.
It isn't recommended but people do it anyways to cover it up. I don't b/c my skin feels irratated when I do.
dont do that it will get worse. you may have rosecea. u need to see a dermatologist.
usea stronger spf and one thats nocomodegenic so it wont clog your pored there are also make up that dont clog pores if that doesnt help. look for words like non comodegenic and sunscreens without fragances or dyes for sensitive skin. your skin could be allergic to that type of sunscreen. and u dont need to put half a botte a quarter sized amount spread evenly should be fine.
Use a non comedogenic tinted moisterizer w/ spf 15 in it.
