No make up is suitable for everyone. Different skin types and individual allergies mean that MAC will not suit everybody. The ingredients in most make up is identical except for mineral based makeup which has more natural ingredients and no talc and a few other things.
MAC would not have the world wide recognition or reputation if it was bad for you. They are a very innovative company- they deliver bold colours and amazing variety, and have some pretty famous clients that swear by it. They have even designed a range of makeup that directly assists aids research.
Make up is essentially preservatives and chemicals, they are not harmful but not natural either.
I particularly like Clinique, Estee Lauder, Prestige, MAC
and i avoid Revlon, Loreal, because they are not good for MY skin
Well first of all MAC make up is a professional make up line. Many people don't realize that. Meaning the foundations will be a bit thicker because its for photos, film, bridal and shows. They do have types of foundations that are water based and lighter coverage.
So many people think make up is bad for your skin. Well actually its not the make up. Its the dirty sponge or make up brush full of bacteria, or not washing off your make up before you go to sleep. The only way make up is bad is when you use a formula that is too rich for your skin.
Oil is not bad for your skin. Period. There are lots of different oils that are amazing for your skin. Especially if you have a dryer skin type.

MAC foundation and powders have too much bad chemicals in them.

If you have sensitive skin you might want to try something more natural like bare minerals which works wonders.

I dont think its bad but then again i dont use if for powder or foundations. They tend to look thickish. But their eye make up is great. You may want to try something a little lighter but keep in mind all skin types arent the same. I have a friend who has been using mac foundation for a while now and i have not seen her break out at all. So im guessing you have to know if your skin is sensitive or not. Its all about trial and error. Good luck. Oh and by the way i use lancome foundation and powder and works great.
I have always had problem with Mac makeup. It makes me breakout. I now use Benefit and I love it.

All make-up is bad if you don't take it off properly and every night.
Anything oil-free and sensitive is better
ALL make up is bad for your skin and where I come from, they look like drag queens when they apply 'simple makeup'. I say NATURAL ALL THE WAY!
I like MAC apart from the cream blushers. They always cause me to have spots.
