Is it bad to leave makeup remover on after washing?

Whenever I have makeup on, I always use my cleanser first, then use the eye makeup remover so I have less to clean.

It has recently been brought to my attention that it may not be the best thing to do, since a lot of people I know always remove their makeup first before cleansing and their whole routine and whatnot.

Does anyone know FOR SURE that it's bad, or fine for the skin?

It depends on the ingredients in your remover. Most makeup removers have some kind of oil in them to break down the makeup on your skin. They're not meant to be left on your face. I would suggest using your remover first, and then washing your face. This will keep the remover from clogging your pores and causing breakouts. Is it bad to leave makeup remover on after washing?
It's not necessarily ';bad';, but it will most likely clog your pores and produce pimples or maybe even sties (when a pore or hair follicle close to your eye gets clogged and gets bacteria in it) which are painful and unsightly. So I suggest you just give yourself an extra wipe with a wet wash cloth after your makeup remover. Especially if it has oil in it. If you arent breaking out or anything, it's probably not a problem.
