Do girls look bad without makeup?
no offense ladies, but i looked up no makeup girls on google and couldn't believe my eyes, they werent good lookin except for a few.Do girls look bad without makeup?

I look good without it,
and so do all my friends.
Make up is supposed to enhance your
beauty, if someone looks totally different, then
they're putting on way to much. But as of foundation
and concealer, their skin is bound to look imperfect,
there's a reason it's called cover-up, you can't
help it if you have blemishes or redness, would you
rather see a girl with tomato colored skin and huge pimples, no
you don't and neither does anyone else. So don't complain, most guys need make up to, but it's known as a female thing, suckers.
It depends on the woman, the place, the person looking, etc.
I believe that a few percentage of women fit into the typical standard of beauty, but ';average-looking'; people that want to fit into that standard can make you believe they look like that.
Real pretty girls are pretty without makeup, I believe.

Don't get as close to your mirror when you do your make up. Remember,most people who see you are at most times 3 feet away from you %26amp; won't see it as well.
It's got to do with proportions. Do more on your eyes, people notice eyes the first thing %26amp; if you do your eyes right, they'll make your look.
Also do not clash your cheek %26amp; lip colors. They need to be the same hue. Over all, just intensify a little bit.

if you could post a pic that would be helpful but here are some tips on the different areas of the face and what I do.
Foundation: I use Cover Girl TruBlend whipped foundation. It is great because it blends with your skin tone, goes as a cream and smoothes in like a powder. It really looks like you are wearing no makeup but you just have flawless skin.
Cheeks: Try using a pink shade. The lighter pink shades add slight color to your face without being too obvious. it will give you a slight glow, that is what you want your blush to do. Apply it starting at the apple of the cheek and then you can brush in a C shape from above the eyebrow back to the apple of the cheek. Do this with little color, and if you have a Fan brush you should use it here. By just adding a little color in that C area will help add an all over glow without adding a bronzer.
Eyes: First I use some eyeshadow primer, or liquid concealer on the eyelid. so the makeup stays in place and doesn't crease. Then for eyeliner I use an eyeshadow. You can wet your eyeshadow brush and then use a powder eyeshadow or cake makeup for the liner. When lining the eyes for the top lashes start at the inside corner and go to the end of the eyelashes. Keep the brush close to the lash line and use the brush to push and smudge the shadow into the lash line. Don't over-extend past the end of the eye for the 'wing' look it is out dated. For the bottom of the eye apply in the same fashion pushing and smudging the shadow into the lashes from below. I never put the liner inside the eye lid. Start at the outside corner and go in, i go a little farther than half way, but never line all the way around the eye. This closes the eye off. The thickness of the bottom line should get thinner as the line approaches the inside of the eye. For the shadow color experiement with it, but choose liner and shadow colors that compliment each other. If you have green eyes, try using purple's and pink colors.... I have hazel eyes and I love to use green, it brings more green out from my eyes. Browns are a safe bet too. I also never use one color of shadow, try mixing. It's all about experimenting here so go to town!
Lips: I usually just use a tinted gloss. Especially with all the effort I put into eyes I like to make them the focal part.
I know it is a lot to read, but with makeup don't be afraid to try new things out. If all else fails invite some girl friends over and get a second opinion. It's a good excuse to give each other makeovers and catch up on the latest gossip!

I have really bad acne. How can I cover up my blemishes and dark spots without using makeup?
I used to have bad acne and I've found that if you cover it up with foundations and concealers, it could make it worse because it's not allowing your skin to ';breathe.'; I switched to Clinique 3-Step System in Dry Combination instead of the Oily skin types. The cleanser dried out my acne and moisturized my skin where it needed it. For things you could do at home, you can apply a small amount facial mask on pimples and leave on overnight to help dry out the pimple. Just don't apply it on your entire face and leave it on overnight, that will make it worse. You can also apply a few drops of Visine or Clear Eyes on a q-tip and rub it on your zits, that will help reduce the redness on the zit. I really recommend L'Oreal. As far as prices go, it's on the mid-level. I usually go to the L'Oreal store that's in the mall, and get a consultation... have them tell you which products are best for you, your colors, and skin type.
Then... go to your local drug store, (CVS, Walgreens, Brooks, etc), they always have sales where you can get the make up for a bit cheaper.
The L'Oreal products to use are the Bare Naturale line for foundation and blush. HIP for eye shadows, and the JUICE line of lip sticks. They're all good quality, good for your skin (especially the bare natural, because it goes on light, gives good coverage, and is.... natural, so it doesn't clog your pores with crap).
So... that's my two cents.

hmm.... whatever may be the problem, make sure u drink loads of water. dont use anyhing scientific or stuff, go for natural medications. they tend to workout the most. use Pond's scrub and a sandalwood paste regularly. that will help u having smooth, clear, flawless, glowy skin as i have.

Any good makeup to cover under eye circles, really bad ones!?
I have horrible under eye circles, have had them all my life, and have tried all kinds of concealers to cover them up. So far I have found nothing that works. Why hide them, when you can get rid of them??
Try using a facial lotion with cucumber extract this will actually lighten the dark circles significantly.

Sample of Hollywood mineral foundation in your shade.
The yellow is really bright when you apply it. I use it everyday, applied with a concealer brush. But your fingertip will work just fine. Its creamy feeling and has great adhesion.
Cover that with a thin layer of the mineral foundtion and all over your face for a nice even look.
PS...they ship the samples free...so you can try the products inexpensively. No autoshipment or commitments or any of that BS...I love their stuff!!!!

Go to MAC usually at Norstroms or free standing, they have a studio finish concelar that I use to cover tattoos and any zit I have ever gotten, it's amazing and not to spendy, trust me this will cover anything and wont look bad!

its for sure got to be wet and wild eyeliner. you write on your hand with it and its fine but then once you try to put it on its doesn't show up! you end up pressing so hard to try and make it work that you break the tip!!! Never buy it its so frustrating.....
Well different brands are bad and good at different things. I would say try on the makeup and see how it is because different people have different preferences :)

I put black eyeliner on as one normally would do, then blend it with a cotton bud.How can i get smokey eye look to look good. im real bad at makeup?
Step 1 - Take your regular black eyeliner, and apply it to the lower lashes as you would normally, and colour in your entire lid with the black, ensuring you get close to the lash line.
Step 2 - Using a brush or smudger, blend in the edges of what you've coloured in, so they're not such a harsh line. Also, smudge the bottom line for a darker/ smokier effect.
Step 3 - Pat the colour you wish to use for the smokey eye on top of your eyeliner base. DON';T carry this colour any higher than the bottom of your socket line yet, this is where many people go wrong.
Step 4 - Take a clean shadow brush and using a sweeping technique (like the window wipers on a car) blend the colour up your socket line to create the smokey [graduated] colour effect.
Step 5 - Add a light colour under the arch of your eyebrow to act as a highlight
Step 6 - Add mascara (and maybe even lashes) to complete the look.How can i get smokey eye look to look good. im real bad at makeup?
okay i do this all the time
1) line both your lower and upper lashes. then smudge(if you don't have a smudger i'd advise to use a cheap little foam brush that comes with your eyeshadow and just simply use that to smudge the eyeliner.) it doesn't have to be perfect.
2)next take a white shimmery eyeshadow and apply it under your brow bone to the crease (this highlights your brow)
3) take black or really dark grey eyeshadow and apply it liberally to you eyelid up to the crease. Using a simple brush of about medium size. i used to do all this with some cheap brushes you picked up from walmart for a $1
4) Then take a light grey this color doesn't really matter i've used pink and blue before) and gently swipe it on your crease (a small brush usually works better for this)
5) then blend the color on you crease in to the black and white you may need to apply more light grey when doing this just make sure you apply a little at a time then blend. keep doing this till you like the look
6) then take a small brush and swipe some of your black shadow on to your lower lashes. (optional)
7) This is important!!!! when you put on mascara you don't want big bold think long lashes. that will take away from the smokey effect. take some mascara that will length your lashes but not thicken them ( i use Maybelle new yorks Cololassal marcara -its yellow-) a great way to achieve this without clumps is to slighty wiggle your head or mascara wand as you apply it.
8) if you use blush apply a light sheer color just to add a light shine to your cheeks
9) and i'd advise to go with a nude lip or sheer gloss just to add some shine.
I hope i helped. i know it seems like a long process and i'm not gonna lie it is the first and second time you do this, but after that you just get faster and faster and you can usually just have this done in under five minutes. i hope i helped. if you have any questions are need me to explain something more in depth just ask. i'll be happy to help. good luck! =)
heres how i do mine (ive had many comments %26amp; best answers to it %26amp; they say its easy to do %26amp; still looks good!) :
1. Use a light (skin toned) colour all over the eye- lashes to brow.
2. Use a black pencil eyeliner and line above the top lashes- doesn’t matter too much if it‘s a bit messy.
3. Use a cotton bud with a dark eyeshadow on it and go over the eyeliner- making it smudgy.
4. Line under the bottom lashes with a pencil eyeliner and smudge using a clean cotton bud/smudging pen.
5. Use a middle toned eyeshadow (an in-between colour of the ones using) and go over the lid of your eye and just up to the brow bone or just above the crease- which ever you like better.
6. Blend or smudge the middle colour upwards into the lighter colour- just the top edge of the middle colour so you still have colour on your lid.
7. Use mascara- and don’t forget eyelash curler first- apply mascara to the bottom aswell-if you want.
Get 3 eyeshadows, one silver, one grey and one black. Use the silver on the inner corner of the eye, grey in the middle and black on the outer corner, remember to do underneath the eye the same way, then use black pencil eyeliner then mascara. If you're still stuck try youtube, there are some good tutorials on there but some are a bit difficult.

THROW IT AWAY NOW! you've got to buy professional brushes, and apply the gray to the lid, the dark the crease, and the lighter to the brow. after it is all applied, wipe your brush clean and blend it all slowly. if this does not work, avon has an eyeshadow that is like a stick on. you place this piece of paper on your eye (that has eyeshadow on it) and press down. there you go, smokey eye. lol
To get this look i put a light silvery-white eyeshadow over my eyelid to the eye brow. THe I sweep a layer of silver over the eyelid. The at the edge/ corner of the eye I use a black eyeshadow and blend it half way across the eye. Put on Black eyeliner on the bottom and use a cotton bud to blend.
You tube is great for make up lessons. You can watch the person do it and talk you thro it.

Now apply kajal to the lower lid and use chambor's powdered liner below and above the eye lashes. Make sure the line below your eyes is not very thick. or else it will look scary!
Now with your finger juz smudge the liner a lil to make it blend slightly with your skin.
Apply another thin coat of liner abover your upper lash.
Now put some grey eye shadow all over your upper lid covering your eyes and the are below your eye brows.
Using the black eye shadow cover the area right above the your eye liner only till the crease.
The process sounds a little long but it just takes five minutes.
here...this is my picture i did this in a hurry so didnt come our perfectly well, but wasnt bad either...

The best tyhing you can do right now is use a mineral make-up like Bare Minerals which will provide minerals and vitamins to nourish your skin without drying you out. It's really good! I can't believe it's sooo cheap! I use their blush brush as a loose powder brush and my goodness, it sure does get the job done! Same with the eyeliner(Liquid).

If you're messy with liquid liner, try a self-sharpening pencil (cover girl has them I believe). I hold either one like a writing pencil and start from the inside corner, gradually making the line a little thicker toward the outside corner. If you're still poor at it, use a small brush and dark eye shadow, but this likely won't last a whole day whereas a pencil or liquid liner should. It must be placed on the north side of your eyelashes! Inside the edge of the eye is unattractive and unhealthy. The intention of it is to make your eyes look wider and your eyelashes thicker.

Don't use dark colors. Brown or gold would look a LOT prettier. Especially if you have blue eyes like me. And i don't know if you want too or not but if you want longer lashes try Vaseline. I heard it works! But you have to be patient. It could take a few weeks or months but it does work! Don't put too much though. Just one light layer. oh! And also don't get any in your eye! It's not good for your eyes. Only your eye lashes.

Don;t use a pencil eyeliner, get a liquid one ( i recommend Loreal linear liquid) and try to keep your hand steady as you apply. the liquid ones tend to be a lot neater then pencil and dries so it doesn't get smudgy. Don;t use eye shadwo like purple or dark blue if you don't want to get that black eye effect, instead for now, try using pink, green, gold, etc. but always on the light side.
Prang colored pencils you can get at walmart in the back to school section are great fro you, they do not run and work like eyeliner but are alot cheaper.
and you can take a lighter and heat the tip if you want them to apply smoother and heavier.

If you're messy with liquid liner, try a self-sharpening pencil (cover girl has them I believe). I hold either one like a writing pencil and start from the inside corner, gradually making the line a little thicker toward the outside corner. If you're still poor at it, use a small brush and dark eye shadow, but this likely won't last a whole day whereas a pencil or liquid liner should. It must be placed on the north side of your eyelashes! Inside the edge of the eye is unattractive and unhealthy. The intention of it is to make your eyes look wider and your eyelashes thicker.
EDIT-- also meant to say don't put any on the bottom, except maybe a smidge in the outside corner that fades out almost immediately. Don't use black, but a nice warm brown.I do my makeup bad. its so bad that someone thought i had a black eye, when it was really my makeup. HELP!!??!
Don't use dark colors. Brown or gold would look a LOT prettier. Especially if you have blue eyes like me. And i don't know if you want too or not but if you want longer lashes try Vaseline. I heard it works! But you have to be patient. It could take a few weeks or months but it does work! Don't put too much though. Just one light layer. oh! And also don't get any in your eye! It's not good for your eyes. Only your eye lashes.

No makeup is better. I like a little moderate makeup on a woman, like lipstick, but please don't overdo the other stuff. i'd say stay away from n.y.c. makeup all together actually. not a fan of rimmel nail polish - it lacks a lot of shine and chips really easily. hmm it's hard to think of anything else that is really horrible...i'm not a fan of foundation at all.
i can tell you what products i dooo like lol...revlon is greaaat - awesome nail polish, liquid eyeliner and pencil eyeliner...loreal has awesome lipglosses...physician's formula has awesome bronzers, powders, concealers,...etc. maybelline and covergirl have sweet mascaras as well.

Putting on too much makeup makes you look bad too. You probably look like a cakeface with all of that on. Dont apply it with your fingers (germs, bacteria, etc...) and do it with CLEAN brushes/Sponges.
Use Mineral makeup, which even thou its more expensive is totally worth it as it doesn't clog your pores, and is made with natural minerals.
Dont wear it 24/7, give your skin a breather and go fresh-faced now and then.
Take it of COMPLETELY in the night, as leaving it on overnight clogs your pores, leading to spots, and all sorts of nastys (unless your using mineral makeup, i've heard you can sleep in it and it wont be as bad as sleeping in normal makeup).
Dont go too heavy on the foundation and powder.
Just lightly pat it in on like a moisturizer, not too much, not too little, and lightly brush the powder on.
Blend it in properly!
Theres nothing worse then seeing teenage girls with Bright orange caked up faces, and white pale necks.
Im not saying put it on your neck.
Just around your jaw, and again, lightly smooth it over the skin.

(thats what i do...it works better than applying it on your entire face and having it melt off ..and it doesnt make you look like a clown or over done).
by doing this you are allowing your skin to ';breathe';.
3) get a good makeup remover ..i use a neutrogena's all-in-one Makeup removing lotion. its for all skin types and gets EVERYTHING off.
use this at the end of the day, or whenever you want to remove makeup.
4) get a good cleanser for your face to rid anything you may have missed with the remover and just to keep your face clean in general.
5) get a skin toner. this will make your face feel refreshed and it tightens pores.
6) invest in a good face cream. I use St. Ives Collagen Elastin face cream. it makes your face shiny, smooth and young looking. if you feel you may have applied too much cream ( if youve waited a couple of minutes for the cream to absorb ,,, and your face feels gunky)...remove the excess with a towel by patting the towel on your face.
7) do steps 4, 5 and 6 in the morning (before applying makeup) and at night (after removing makeup) to prevent premature aging...lol
you have to remember to wash your make up of the second that you get home or arent gonna be in public for the rest of the day. Leaving makeup on too long, especially makeup with oil in it, will clog your pores and will sometimes leave gradual discoloration. After you wash your face THOROUGHLY!, put on moisturizer. Preferably a restorative moisturizer, like Nia moisturizer. When your not out, or having a day at home, dont put any product on whatsoever. Give your face a break because it causes stress on the face to hold so much product for long periods of time.
You don't need to constantly reapply makeup. Just get a good foundation, set it with a mineral powder, add some lipstick or gloss, and maybe some eyeshadow. Here's my reccomendations for the longest lasting products:
Foundation -Clean Makeup with Oil Control by Covergirl
Powder - Dream Matte by Maybelline
Eyeshadow - Maybelline
All of those products stay on for a long time! Good luck.

the best thing to do is to wear dark glasses...
but i would dab some concealer on it to make sure that if the glass fell off accidently or something, the black eye wouldnt show up..!!

First you need to conceal the eye... use a thick concealer...sponge on foundation and cover it with powder. And then, put on a purplish or mauve eyeshadow on your lid, a grey hue in the crease of your eyelid, and a light color (white/silver) on your brow bone. I know it sounds crazy (I'm not fond of purple eyeshadow) but it works. My friend got in a fight and had to come to work. (We work in a hospital, in the ER.) She had a huge black eye, but she just put on LOTS of makeup, and I could hardly tell...it just looked a little puffy! You'll look a little too done up, but its better then looking like a thug or something.

use a yellow-green concealer as it will take the bruising discolouration away. try using liquid foundation over it and blend with the concealer. apply with a blush-brush and in small circles blend it in. this will counteract the bruising and discolouration.
avoid sunlight as much as possible and b4 going to bed, use a moisturiser to soften the skin and drink alot of water to rehydrate it so that it will heal quicker! goodluck!
Dab a yellow-green concealer on the bruised part to counteract the blue/purple discoloration. It might take more than one coat %26amp; you'll probably need to top it with some powder to help blend %26amp; even things out. It would also probably help hide it if you wear a colored eyeshadow on your lid.

the best thing to do is to wear dark glasses...
but i would dab some concealer on it to make sure that if the glass fell off accidently or something, the black eye wouldnt show up..!!

First you need to conceal the eye... use a thick concealer...sponge on foundation and cover it with powder. And then, put on a purplish or mauve eyeshadow on your lid, a grey hue in the crease of your eyelid, and a light color (white/silver) on your brow bone. I know it sounds crazy (I'm not fond of purple eyeshadow) but it works. My friend got in a fight and had to come to work. (We work in a hospital, in the ER.) She had a huge black eye, but she just put on LOTS of makeup, and I could hardly tell...it just looked a little puffy! You'll look a little too done up, but its better then looking like a thug or something.

use a yellow-green concealer as it will take the bruising discolouration away. try using liquid foundation over it and blend with the concealer. apply with a blush-brush and in small circles blend it in. this will counteract the bruising and discolouration.
avoid sunlight as much as possible and b4 going to bed, use a moisturiser to soften the skin and drink alot of water to rehydrate it so that it will heal quicker! goodluck!
Dab a yellow-green concealer on the bruised part to counteract the blue/purple discoloration. It might take more than one coat %26amp; you'll probably need to top it with some powder to help blend %26amp; even things out. It would also probably help hide it if you wear a colored eyeshadow on your lid.

Personally, I think caked on foundation, especially in the wrong shade, looks horrible. Make-up and creases around the nose, flaking and such from a foundation look quite awful. Or if a girl just does her make-up as if she's painting a picture.
I think lip liner in the wrong shade can take away a girls beauty. It just makes them look like they recently got some bad botox done.
Long story short - anything over-done looks bad and can take away your natural beauty. Remember, less is more. :)

Foundation - its like they got a bucket of foundation that is like 58493 shades lighter/darker than their skin color and put dipped their head in that bucket and walked around a shopping center.

Probably 3/4 of day. You might have been sweating a lot or a lot of oils have been worked out on your face. Eye shadows need 2 be removed at the end of the day so you feel refreshed during the next morning. Liners I recommend also.
As long as you keep the lids on them they never really go bad but maybe after a year just throw them away they get germs and stuff on them from sitting in your make up box
I guess it depends on the make up... but generally eye make up should only be used for a few months because it gathers bacteria every time you use it... that's why you shouldn't share with friends!

Try using water proof make up. Generally sweat and oil are was take off your make up. Even though you don't notice it throughout the day your skin gets oily and sometimes sweaty. Water proof makeup generally will fix that problem for you. You can also try touching your face less, because you can accidentally rub it off.
primers work well at keeping your makeup on.. i dont know if you have heard of a store called sephora or ulta. both of these stores sell tons of makeup and skincare products. i would suggest you go to a sephora store but if there isnt one near where you live then try ulta..if neither of these stores are in your area then go to a local mall and go to macys then go to the makeup counters such as Mac or clinique and ask them about face primers and how to keep makeup on longer. going to sephora would be the best becuase sephora sells TONSSSS of primers and other products that keep your makeup looking good all day. go to sephora and tell a person that works there about your makeup problems and they will find the perfect product for you. also what i love about sephora is that if you dont like a product you bought then you can return it and get your money back. here are a couple products you might want to try....

I have really oily skin so using something like MAC Studio Fix for me was a nightmare. I finally switched to Clinique Almost Powder foundation. It's a powder foundation and it never makes me oily or gross during the day. You might also want a ';blot'; powder to use during the day which really just soaks up any oil. MAC makes a good one and so does Neutrogena (for less money). Hope this helps :-)
Are you using a face primer? This helps to keep your makeup on longer and looking better... There are thousands of face primers loreal, two face insurance, mac etc.
Cream to powder foundations are very high coverage and thick and you need to do a lot of touch ups.
Try a liquid foundation or loose mineral powder with concealer.

and then put makeup on (concealer, tinted moisturizer/foundation and bronzer) and then wash it off at night and take medication again..

The more make up you wear, the more it clogs your pores.
It doesn't matter if you wash your face in the morning and night because since you wear make up you have it on for most of the day.
There was a documentary on TV not so long ago about how the average women absorbs 2kg worth of toxins into her skin in a year because of the amount of make up us girls wear.
I think you might be okay if you get a high quality brand of make up like Loreal, Maybeline or Max Factor. They are expensive but are definitely made of better quality materials.
I think you should use a mineral powder, I use Maybeline Mineral Power and it's amazing. It does not clog up your pores and is good for skin and makes you look absolutely flawless. Best foundation I've tried. Mineral foundations are much better for you and you should stay away from foundations with mineral oil. (:

i use Revlon Colorstay Make-up Fond De Teint. i just love how it covers dark spots and stays on all day! trust me i have oily skin and most foundations dont stay that long on my face :P
its oil free so it has a nice matte finish. the key to covering dark spots is first using a makeup base, or you can apply a thin layer of the foundation first then use a very small and fine make-up brush to cover up dark spots. take some time covering up the spots using light feathery strokes and small patting motion.
